You've heard it said that Baby Brains are like sponges, soaking up the information all around them and learning and growing from their environments... but this is true only so long as we are continually providing our children with the experiences to continue to do so!
The first five years of our children's lives provide a unique opportunity and responsibility for neurodevelopment. Their brains are at their most receptive and flexible during these months, and Rhyme and Reason is dedicated to providing the quality learning experiences that will help you and your child grow these connections into happy, healthy futures.
"I cannot say enough good things about this program!" - Kirsten, Chestermere
Based on the internationally renowned Early Development Instrument (EDI), Rhyme and Reason classes use music, movement, literacy, numeracy, and art to promote your child's happy, healthy, and holistic growth across the five domains of Early Childhood Development:
Every song, rhyme, story, and activity we use at Rhyme and Reason maximizes our use of the English Language. However, it is extremely important that parents speak to their babies in the language with which they are most familiar. In this way, children can learn the value of a full and rich vocabulary and have a model for confident, fluent speech. We find ways to incorporate the first languages of our participants into every program we teach.
It is important to us that we make just-right fits for our families in other domains as well. Our inclusive philosophy uses program materials for every age and stage in the infant, toddler, and preschool years, regardless of physical or mental ability. Everything exists on a spectrum, and we honour all parenting styles, cultural backgrounds, orientations, ages, and capabilities in our classes.
